DESCRIPTION
The main flying site in Nepal. A 20 minute ride from Pokhara. A prepared takeoff allows pilots to fly directly in front of the Annapurnas.
It is the departure point of many cross country flights.
West - Along the lake valley.
North - To the first foothills of the Annapurnas and Machapuchare.
East - Along the Himalayen foothills.

Constant weather with every day thermal system (rarely broken if strong inversion occurs).

The takeoff site is situated in the airport zone. There are some restrictions in place but they dont conflict too much with the main cross country routes.
landing
Near the lake off Pokara perfect to play and trainning accro.
There are 3 landing places along Phewa lake shore. 1-st is in Lakside Pokhara, 2-nd is in Greenwall, 3-rd is at the foot of Saranhgot (closest, but can not be seen from takeoff point).
going
Taxis from Pokhara Lakeside and every landing site around.
Most paragliding companies (quite a few) run a 4x4 service to drive up.
regulation
Please remember to pick up your civil aviation permit (50 usd + 2 passport photographs) at the AIRPORT on arrival, valid for 2 weeks.
